CampApp redesigned
CampApp redesigned. It might feel a bit meta to write about CampApp inside CampApp. But when this much has changed, it feels worth sharing.

A real new version
This is not just an update. It is a complete rebuild.
The interface is almost entirely new. It might even feel unfamiliar the first time you open the app. That is intentional.
What you notice first
We have rebuilt how the app looks and works from the ground up. The goal has been to make it simpler, clearer and more useful in everyday use.
It should be faster to find what you are looking for. Less friction. Less thinking.
At the same time, we have focused heavily on stability. Fewer bugs, smoother performance and an app that holds up under real use.
New features
If you create an account, you now get more out of the app.
Favorites make it easy to save places you want to revisit or explore.
Stories are also new. A way to share experiences directly in the app. More alive, more real.
What you do not see
Just as much has happened behind the scenes.
We have rebuilt our internal tools for handling places, data and everything users send in. This helps us move faster, keep higher quality and continue improving the content.
You might not notice it directly. But it makes a big difference.
Why we did this
CampApp has always been about making it easier to discover new places.
This update is about taking that seriously. Not by adding more, but by rebuilding what was not good enough.
Thank you
To everyone using the app, sending feedback and sharing places.
This is the result of a lot of work, but also everything you contribute.
We are proud of where CampApp is today. And even more excited about what comes next.

The History of the Caravan – How a Home on Wheels Became Part of Scandinavian Life
A caravan is much more than just a vehicle. For many people, it is a holiday cottage on wheels, a place where the holiday begins the moment it is hitched to the car. But where did it all start? From exclusive horse-drawn touring wagons to becoming a symbol of freedom, family holidays and the Scandinavian love of both adventure and comfort, the caravan has travelled a remarkable journey.
You do not actually have to stay in Gothenburg to experience Gothenburg
It is easy to assume that a camping trip to Gothenburg means staying as close as possible to the city centre. But for many campers, that is not always the best choice. If Gothenburg is only one or two day trips during your holiday, staying a little further away can give you the sea, nature or the archipelago while still keeping the city within reach.
Rooftop Tents: Freedom Above the Car, but Check the Weight First
Rooftop tents look almost ridiculously simple. Park the car, open the tent and suddenly you have a bedroom with a view. No caravan, no motorhome and no ground tent on uneven soil. But behind the adventure comes roof load, extra height, wind resistance, ladders, condensation and rules that are easy to misunderstand. A rooftop tent can be brilliant, but it is still camping and sometimes rather more complicated than the photographs suggest.
