Memories of something else
There is something special about places you have a history with. Mölle is one of those places. Memories of bikes, friends, Easter traditions and plenty of candy. A campsite that felt full of life, where every spot was taken and something was always going on.
Maybe it is just nostalgia. Or maybe things have actually changed.
The reality on site
During Easter, the atmosphere is very different. The campsite is far from full. In fact, it feels quite empty. Many pitches are unoccupied and there is a calm, almost quiet feeling throughout the area.
It feels less like a destination and more like a place waiting for the season to begin.
Limited activities
It is clear that this is still off season. The pool is closed, the bistro is closed and there are very few organised activities.
The mini golf is open, which gives you something to do. But beyond that, children need to create their own entertainment. Fortunately, that usually works just fine.
What actually works well
The service buildings are a clear positive. Plenty of toilets, showers without extra fees and good dishwashing areas. There are also kitchen facilities, which makes everyday camping easier.
From a practical point of view, everything works. It is more the overall experience that feels limited.
When the campsite is not enough
What really makes the stay worthwhile is not the campsite itself, but what is around it.
With easy access to Höganäs, Helsingborg, and Ängelholm, there are plenty of options for day trips. During Easter, local art tours also add things to do.
The campsite becomes more of a base than a destination.
So… is it worth it?
As an Easter destination, it is hard to say it meets expectations, especially if you compare it to past memories.
At the same time, there is something nice about the calm. Plenty of space. No queues. No stress.
The question is whether that is enough.
Conclusion
First Camp Mölle-Höganäs during Easter is not a lively, full service experience. It is quiet, somewhat empty and with limited offerings.
It might be a completely different place during the summer when everything is up and running. That is probably when its full potential shows.

Camping food that somehow becomes better in the caravan
A lot of people seem to think camping food is mostly canned meals and convenience food. For us, it has almost become the opposite. When life slows down in the caravan, cooking suddenly gets the time and space it deserves.
The History of the Caravan – How a Home on Wheels Became Part of Scandinavian Life
A caravan is much more than just a vehicle. For many people, it is a holiday cottage on wheels, a place where the holiday begins the moment it is hitched to the car. But where did it all start? From exclusive horse-drawn touring wagons to becoming a symbol of freedom, family holidays and the Scandinavian love of both adventure and comfort, the caravan has travelled a remarkable journey.
You do not actually have to stay in Gothenburg to experience Gothenburg
It is easy to assume that a camping trip to Gothenburg means staying as close as possible to the city centre. But for many campers, that is not always the best choice. If Gothenburg is only one or two day trips during your holiday, staying a little further away can give you the sea, nature or the archipelago while still keeping the city within reach.
